New Reports for Future Planning

The Aquatic and Riparian Condition Assessment (ARCA) for the South Saskatchewan River Basin (SSRB) is a work in progress. The completed report will compile information on hydrological changes (using the Index of Hydrological Alteration), water quality (using Water Quality Indices) and riparian health (using the Riparian Health Inventory) for the main rivers of the SSRB. The report of riparian health for the mainstems of the Red Deer, Bow, Oldman, South Saskatchewan, St. Mary, Belly, Waterton, Crowsnest and Castle Rivers is complete (below).
