Northern River Basins Study Final Report Dedication This report is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Bev Burns who served as co-chair to the Northern River Basins Study Board from 1991 to 1994. Bev was a man of vision and wisdom who articulated the concept of the NRBS as a social experiment as well as a scientific study. Bev also played a major role in shaping the course of the NRBS. His dedication to the environment and the people of the north will be remembered. In his honour, Study members established a scholarship at the University of Alberta for deserving students in the field of environmental studies.
