Alberta Water Management and Erosion Control Program (AWMEC)  (1999)

AWMEC helps local authorities to resolve surface water management and erosion control problems implemented under the authority of the Water Act and Alberta Regulations].

Approvals to Protect Surface Water Bodies Administration Guide (December 2001)

This guide explains ways to protect all permanent and intermittent natural surface water bodies throughout the province in rural and urban areas on private and public land. It defines activities that require approval under Alberta's Water Act, and provides for consistent application of the Water Act in both rural and urban areas.

Groundwater Evaluation Guidelines (February 2003)

Information Required when Submitting an Application under the Water Act. Water is a valuable resource which must be managed and sustained for use by individuals, farming and municipal communities, and industries. The Water Act provides the means to allocate water in an orderly and beneficial manner through the issuance of licences.
