Industrial Waste

    Eco-industrial Parks

This type of industrial park is a community of manufacturing and service companies who seek to improve their economic and environmental performance by collaborating in the management of environment and resource aspects including materials, energy, water, information and habitat.

Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association (Strathcona County, City of Fort Saskatchewan, Sturgeon County and Lamont County) is working to ensure that future local growth occurs in a coordinated and responsible manner.

A new eco-industrial park is planned for the Town of Hinton and Brazeau County will install a new wastewater treatment system in the Hamlet of Cynthia, based on the eco-industrial networking approach.
