CRD Waste Reduction Advisory CommitteeAlberta Environment in co-operation with a number of industry and government stakeholders created the CRD Waste Reduction Advisory Committee to examine and communicate on opportunities to reduce CRD waste in Alberta. The Committee is comprised of representatives from building owners and developers, designers, the construction industry, waste management industry, and all three levels of government. The mandate of the committee is to achieve sustainable construction, renovation and demolition waste reduction through design, construction, reuse, and recycling practices. Its goals are to:
- Beneficial uses for waste materials - Better markets for recyclable materials - Better collection & distribution networks for waste materials |
