Drinking Water Safety: More about the data

The Alberta Drinking Water Program has staff that reviews treatment systems design and performance via an approval process, and staff that assist with operational issues, and track facility status on a database. Staff inspect facilities for compliance, and review monitoring results on an on-going basis throughout the year. Results from the database, compliance inspections, and reported monitoring results are used to calculate the measures.
