The Northern East Slopes Sustainability Strategy

Regional Steering Group

This group (established in June 2000) was responsible for leading development of the recommendations that form the basis of the Government of Alberta's sustainability strategy for the region.

The group – whose recommendations covered current and future resource management for the region – submitted them to the Minister of Alberta Environment in May 2003.

Steering group members, selected for leadership qualities, knowledge, skills and experience in resource, community and environmental management, were appointed by the Minister and completed their assigned roles:
